If you go to Jaipur, you have to visit the Hawa Mahal.
The Hawa Mahal, or "palace of the winds", is more a broad observation tower than a palace. The building behind the facade is actually pretty narrow, with quick access to top-rooms. As you can see, the whole thing is covered by a beautiful windowed veneer where women from the connecting palace used to go to watch street excitement without having to be seen.
The many windows also kept things pretty breezy.
My boys modestly peer out to the street.
