Lula, MS, The Isle of Capri

In 1990, Mississippi legaized gambling. Today, when you cross the border, you see a bunch of casinos.

If you don't gamble, casinos are some of the cheapest good hotels. They try to attract as many people as possible by renovating the rooms to the highest standards, and keeping prices at rock bottom. Most casinos are also self sufficient resorts with restaurants, etc.... They want to make sure that gamblers stay nearby.

The downside is that you sometimes have to walk in odd and restricted ways to keep the kids away from the casino. This isn't a big deal though.

We stayed at a casino in Mississippi called the Isle of Capri.
