Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City is an unassuming city known by many for a single act of terrorism. And the remains of the Murrah building and memorial that have replaced it are the most prominent things that you see when you enter the city. It is a historical oddity that what just 15 years ago seemed like an unthinkable incident would just a few years later be overshadowed by something even more unthinkable. Today, the mention of terrorism evokes only thoughts of New York, however, the mention of Oklahoma City, unlike New York, evokes terrorism.

The site in Oklahoma City is very different than that in New York. The memorial is complete and no building will ever be built there again.

A nearby museum tells the story of the chaos and subsequent manhunt, and hold many artifacts from the rubble.
