Memphis, TN, The National Civil Rights Museum

This is where Martin Luther King Jr was shot. The hotel has become a museum, and it is one of the most moving and important places that we have visited this trip. If you are in Memphis, I strongly recommend visiting this museum.

Cameras are not allowed inside, so I only have photos of the balcony from the outside.

Z was very interested and asked many questions. It helped that we had seen the Rosa Parks bus in the Henry Ford Museum, and the National Mall in DC, where I showed him the Martin Luther King Jr speech with its crowds spreading out in the distance.
