Back in Illinois and Connecticut we had plenty of insects and small animals, but the south brings it to another level. Arkansas and Oklahoma had bugs as fat as a AA battery. Some of these things jumped from the ground to our car window. And these things could screech pretty loudly.
This guy jumped onto the windshield and went for a ride in Arkansas.
This frog also stole a windshield ride in Little Rock, only to jump of across town, ready to try and populate another part of the world.
Here is another run of the mill giant bug in Arkansas.
While checking into the hotel in Oklahoma City, this guy jumped into the window right on Z, who screamed for a good half a minute. He then jumped away, but we found him in the car the next morning.
The bug was loud, but not as loud as Z.
